There are several things that influence the biggest decisions that we make in our lives. For example we could have long thought out plans and preparations, yet there are instances when events can change our plans with very little warning. My husband and I thought about having a house by a lake for our retirement years. We planned our investments, funds as well as time off towards achieving that goal.
One day I walked past a home on a large lake just as a real estate agent was placing a for sale sign in the yard. I had often admired the house and I decided to take down the property information. When I looked at that realty listing on the internet I was very surprised that the price seemed to be affordable. We were still several years out from retirement but we made an appointment to see the house. We loved the hundred year old home and the gorgeous lake property it was built on.
We have resided in our lake home for eight years now and have decided that this would be a perfect time to upgrade to a new house.
